Standard & Poor’s positively assesses Georgia’s longer-term growth prospects| glObserver Global Economics


Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services affirmed its ‘BB-/B’ long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings on the Government of Georgia, the rating agency reported. The outlook remains stable.

“We believe Georgia’s longer-term increase prospects are positive and the country will continue to pull in significant amounts of foreign direct investment (FDI), which supports the ratings. A still moderate government deficit burden and controlled public finances as well underpin the ratings,” S&P said.
