Tunisia’s Trade Deficit Rises To $4.59 Billion in Eight Months| glObserver Global Economics

Official figures showed that Tunisia’s trade deficit rose by 2.7 % to 7.6 billion Dinars (4.59 billion Dollars) in the initial eight months of the year compared to the corresponding period of last year.

The National Statistics Institute said that the deficit rose to 7.6 billion Dinars in the period from the beginning of the year to the end of August compared to a deficit of 7.4 billion dinars (4.47 billion Dollars) in the same period last year Imports grew by 5.1 % to 26 billion Dinars, while exports rose by 5.8 % to 18.4 billion Dinars.
