The problems are compounded at the same time as the country is still to fully recover from the hangover of decades of military policy and unbridled corruption that has almost become a staple in successive administrations. As a consequence, while politicians swim in opulence, the bulk of Nigerians wallow in abject poverty leaving the African giant on its knees.
